Macbeth Auditions

Auditions for Macbeth directed by John Langdon will be held on Saturday July 20th and Sunday July 21st, 2019 from 1-4pm at Clear Heart Theater, 90 Jesse Lane, Petaluma CA 94952.

Non AEA audition. Casting 5 adult actors/actresses and 1 child between the age of 8-12 years old.  Please come prepared with headshot, resume and ready to perform a Shakespearean monologue of your choice no longer than 2 minutes long.  No sonnets please.  Call backs will be Monday July 22, 2019 at 7-9pm at Clear Heart Theater. Rehearsals will be held 3 weekday evenings and weekend afternoons begining August 18, 2019. Rehearsal location TBA.  Evening performances at 8pm at The Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, October 10-12, 2019 and at the Foundry Wharf Green Sunday, October 13, 2019 with possibility of a daytime school performance.  Please contact kristina@petalumashakespeare.org to apply for a time slot.

John Langdon is a professional actor, director, dramaturg and educator with decades of experience both on and off stage.  A member of the Actors Equity Association and Stage Directors U.K., he also has an MA with distinction in Shakespeare and Theatre, and a PhD in Shakespeare and Creativity from the renowned Shakespeare Institute of the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.

Macbeth

Petaluma Shakespeare is proud to present Macbeth by William Shakespeare directed by John Langdon. Langdon’s brilliant reimagining of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy of ambition and evil is not to be missed. Five actors inhabit a haunting tale of prophecy, greed, murder, and power.  This pocket Shakespeare production will haunt you into Halloween and beyond.
